What is a Web Ring?

A Web Ring is a place where you will find many Web pages of similar content connected with each other. For example, this Web Ring is for all those who have Web Sites that are  memorials to loved ones. There are over 5,000 other Web Rings out there, with many web pages within each ring on many different topics. To find out what other Rings there are go to: Web Rings

This Web Ring is for anybody who has lot a loved one, and has built a site for them. Web Ring is a service brought to you for free, where your Web Page can be linked together in a Ring with other Memorial Web pages. Below is the guidlines of this Web Ring and explanation on how to become a member of the Heartprints Memorial Web Ring!

• First, your page must be a memorial dedicated to a loved one. Please, human memorials only for this ring, there are other rings for our wonderful pets who have gone to the Rainbow Bridge.
• Your page should be a personal Home page, that is Non- Profit.
• Your page cannot have any pornographic material.

First off you need to have a memorial web site.  Next you will need to fill out the following form to let me know about your site.

Once you have submitted the above form, the web ring robot will email you confirming your submission and with your site ID. It will also add you to the list of sites waiting to be added to the ring. You will then need to add the code below to your page. Just Copy and Paste this code on your Web site. This is the WEB Ring, where folks can click on it to view other Heartprints Memorial  pages.  The code will produce a table like this when correctly put on a page:

The ring robot will automatically keep checking your site to look for the code, and if it thinks it sees it, it will email me.  I will then double check since sometimes the robot sees things that humans apparently don't see, or maybe it's picking up other web ring codes. I also go through all the sites on the waiting list, when I can, and look for myself. I don't trust it to let it automatically add sites to the ring.  So that's dependent on a human, and I often don't get to it as quickly as I'd like. Please be patient.  But, if you do not have the table appearing on your page that looks like the one above, I can't add you, or it will cause a break in the ring.  Spartan (Tim) wanted a web RING for Heartprints, and I'm gonna do my best to keep it as such and try and negotiate the learning curves here (this is the first ring I've done, LOL).

The HTML code to put on your page:
The code has to be put into your page as part of the html that makes up your page.  It should look like the above table when you preview it.  If you are using a page building program, check with the help section if necessary, try looking for "insert html".

Within the following  code you will need to do the following, (the colors are just to help you find the fields easier, please don't actually make your coding with these colors):

• Where it says - YOUR URL TO YOUR SITE- replace this with your url of your site.
• Where it says - YOUR SITE NAME- replace this with the name of your Web Site.
• Where it says - SITE OWNER EMAIL ADDRESS- replace this with your email address.
• Where it says - YOUR NAME HERE- replace it with your name.
• Where it says - SITE ID HERE- replace this with your ID # that you were given.
• Where it says - YOUR GIF URL - replace this with the URL where you uploaded this Web Ring gif to your own server
